Since the M860tu will be released tomorrow and will likely only ship in early August, how long will we have to wait to see some reviews? Thanks.

I suppose this is a stupid question, but there's no chance that a retailer will write one? (since people will assume it's biased...)

The only people who will have it right now are the retailers, so that's why I'm wondering if some of them will write reviews or not.

In the US the retailers have not seen it either. There are only test / evaluation samples out right now which currently Sager is the only one to have. And they dont release reviews at least publicly.

    Very happy...
Kobalt computers already has the Nexus (their branding for the M860TU).
Although, I have to say, it's as expensive as an Alienware M15x (actually, it's more expensive...). Which is a bit dissapointing.
Still... if it works fine, it's great.

I think on a similar spec set-up the "UK prices" (being polite) are about 30% more than the equivalent Us set-up, although it's hard to be perfectly like-for-like as some of the options are exactly the same. About half of this 30% delta is explained by the VAT in the UK, the other half...

Not sure I can see how the Alienware is even close to the same price, let alone cheaper?

My set-up is about £300 cheaper at Kobalt (£1,650 incl VAT) than the equivalent Alienware m15x (£1,950 incl VAT). Specifically:

    - 8800GTX/9800GT for both
    - 4 gig RAM
    - 320gb HDD (7200)
    - 1 year warranty
    - 1440x990 / 1680x1050 (Aleinware/Kobalt)
    - 30 day dead pixel guarantee on Kobalt (£30) plus bluetooth module

Both still miles more expensive than the US (sigh).

Yes... I agree! I don't really see how can it be justified... but well! Poor of us, the European.
And I really thought it would be cheaper than the M15x... Oh well. Let's just wait and hope it won't have the same problems with overheating.
