    Hi,

I broke my external sound card yesterday and used the internal speakers supported by the default Realtek for the very first time. The sound is terrible - muted and strangely distorted at the same time. It's inaudible. This cannot be right. I have the Realtek settings on defaults, so I am not sure what is wrong with it.

Thank you for any advice on the issue.

Nevermind. Problem solved (via audio codec installation).
