Hello! I'm trying to connect my Clevo M860TU to my Sony STR-DG700 AV Receiver using an optical cable with 3.5mm plug on one end and a ODT toslink on the other.. Still there seems to be no connection between them. The AVR just gives me an "UNLOCK" error (apparently meaning it does not understand the signal if there even is one). I have tried to change the AVR channel's input mode to OPT with no luck.

In short, I can't get sound out of my laptop with the optical cable. What am I doing wrong? What is the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We have gone over this a million times. The M860TU uses a digital coaxial spdif, not an optical. you need a 3.5mm mono to RCA cable
