I was wondering, for those of you who have made this purchase, what your evaluations of the different screens are? How glarey is the glossy screen, and how good and bright are the colours on the matte (which is the next resolution up)

    Thanks :)

Different people with different opinions on this one - no facts, just eye-sight preferences. I prefer glossy screens as Matte screens tend to be too dark for me.

    EDIT: silly rushed comment.

Choosing between the WSXGA+ and the WUXGA?
I realised this was probably the wrong place to post so I put it under my "what notebook should I buy?" thread.

anti-glare, that's what I want!!! I have glossy and you can't see anything when the room becomes nicely lit by the sun.

This screen is so much better than the M860TU screens, it's sick. I haven't used mine outside of the room and office enough to experience glare.

alright, one for, one against :p fantastic, I love it when my life is easy...
Can anyone do a performance appraisal for me, for Games, Blu-Rays and general image quality?
And by the sounds of it...

i got a glossy screen (this is my first glossy screen i have) and i love it!!!

But as mentioned above it's also a personal choise i don't see myself using my portable outside so it's not a problem for me personally.

There would definitely be a performance difference in Games and Blu-Rays though, so some appraisals of that would be awesome :)

But yeah, being here in sunny sunny down under, where everyone except the people I know apparently say mate all the time, my personal preference is to lean towards Matte. but that's a 175 US$ preference, so some other opinions to back it up would be nice :)
