Clevo N850HK- Keyboard Q- Need help please

I just took delivery of the above Notebook on Friday and I noticed the keyboard all lights up beautifully , every key is lit by LEDs on all 4 sides except for my space bar, the biggest key on the board!!

Can anyone who owns one of these or any resellers reps please advise if it is normal for the spacekey's entire front edge in front of the trackpad to be completely dark and unlit on that edge.

The back edge is lit by 5 LEDs but the sides and front are completely dark .
(Yes Brightness is up full)

My resellers production team is trying to say that is normal for these keyboards on this model and they are awaiting word from Clevo .
It looks like it is broken and looks terrible as if a big black block is taken out of the keyboard's entire front lit edge.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, if its normal on everyones keyboard I will have to get used to it but if not then I want it replaced. Thanks. :-((

 

Can you post a clear picture of it (in a dark environment)?

The side closest to the touchpad gets next to no LED showing, but the other sides do.

PLEASE HELP-- ANYONE WHO OWNS A CLEVO N850 HJ or HK

My new PC keyboard and others on brand new PCs of this model for sale here in Australia are displaying colours incorrectly on what appear to be faulty keyboards.

I trying to determine if this problem is specific only to this model here in Australia and if my reseller has gotten a faulty batch or if it is worldwide and very bad engineering and quality control by Clevo.

I will be submitting a written complaint to my resellers manager to forward this issue to Clevo.

CAN ANYONE who owns one of these PCs PLEASE CHECK if your PC is behaving as below and post a reply in this thread describing what you see. Thank you

THE PROBLEM--
When displaying red, green or dark blue over the whole keyboard ALL LEDs under ALL keys display the correct colour.

When displaying light blue, yellow or purple as selected from the colour wheel app, ALL the keys and LEDs on the entire keyboard also display the correct colour selected EXCEPT

ALL the keys on the front row display 2 different colours, one on the Left & one on the Right side, front and back of EACH key.

When light blue key colour is selected the front row only shows dark blue one side and green on the other.

When yellow key colour is selected the front row only shows yellow one side and green on the other.

When purple key colour is selected the front row only shows purple one side and dark blue on the other.

This fault is very obvious, looks bad and most would naturally assume is a definite fault with the keyboard.

What you're describing sounds relatively typical of full RGB keyboards to some extent, but I don't know exactly how egregious it is with your keyboard, specifically.

If you could please see if this is occurring on any new PC of this model you have in your assembly centre it will be immediately obvious exactly as I described.

When the entire front row ,every key and LED is simply not displaying the exact colour selected that every other key and LED displays perfectly it looks obviously defective.

I was surprised today to see another unsold new PC at my resellers service centre behaving exactly the same incorrect way as mine!!

I tried photos the other day but it is hard to see clearly due to the amount of light and colour the camera sees as opposed to the eye but I will try again and post if they show the issue clearly.
I await your observations on your in house unsold stock.
