    Hey guys,

I've been looking for someone that can help me with an issue.
Recently I've purchased an Clevo N950TP6 from laptopparts4less.
I wanted to get more out of my system so i decided to apply better thermal paste on my CPU and GPU.
I purchased Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and started to apply it to my CPU with success (62c max after 3 hours of gaming). Undervolting(-145mV core/-145mV cache) brought this down even more(56c max after 3 hours of gaming).
The GPU however isn't accessible to me. I tried unscrewing all screws without success. After I removed all the screws, including the 5 around the battery area, I still wasn't able to open up the GPU cover. I wanted to apply the same thermal paste to my GPU since it's getting quite hot under load (hits 84/85c after 3 hours of gaming).
Undervolting and limiting the GPU clock to 1800mhz max using a voltage/Frequency curve.

Is there any tutorial available to open up the GPU cover? Because I would like to repaste the GPU for better thermal performance.

You need to remove the entire bottom c section to access it.

So does that mean removing the screen and keyboard?
I would like to repaste it, but if it's that much trouble I might consider not doing it at all.

The bottom portion of the body/chassis, battery included (not the screen and keyboard). All those screws on the bottom, bottom comes off, then the heatsinks are exposed.

Did you get the silver screws in the battery compartment, too? It takes a little effort to pry off even with the screws off (plastic clips help hold it in).

I tried, but the Plastic parts above the GPU won't come off. Will try to do it again tomorrow.

Have you got plastic prying tools? If you need more force than that usually a screw has been missed.

Ok so i gave it another shot. Removed all screws including the ones in the battery compartment. All the screws i removed are seen here: https://imgur.com/a/TEedgFl.
After removing the screws, i tried removing all the plastic without success. Especially the parts around the RAM and the GPU were stuck like glue and it looked like the plastic was not removeable like in the picture picture:https://imgur.com/a/LhyRQst. and https://imgur.com/a/i6YZIh9 and https://imgur.com/a/DAeHrtW show pieces that seemed like there is a screw stuck inside the plastic that I am not able to access. I hope anyone can tell me how to get the plastic above the GPU off because I want to reapply some thermal paste. Is there a video on how to do it?

    @Fhuntrup
I got the N950TP too and did the same work you going to do.
To reach the GPU, you have to remove the keyboard. Underneath you will find 2 (or 3) screws holding the base together. If you also screw them out, then you can detach the base and access the GPU.

    Best regards

And even if it was MXM, I would not put a 1080 inside of it. It barely keeps the 1060 cool as it is.

This is a very CPU focused machine, the gaming series is more GPU focused.

Update: finally found the time to repaste the GPU. Replaced the stock thermal paste (was all dried out) with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste.
Temperature dropped 2-3C which is always welcome. Am looking into replacements for the terrible CCC software from Clevo.
Looked into John's(Obsidian PC) software and another piece of software on the forums that looked similar.

Elastic band or etch a notch in the screw.
