Hi folks, just wondering real deep now, got two of these machines on hands, one of them P150 has got 675mx card, and another P151 has got 770m , both are working good in their full potential as a whole machines, but I have a project to complete where I need them both run only on their integrated Intel GPU only, and as part of a project I want to use their GPU's on my other Alienware builds, leaving Clevo machines GPU-less...

Quick search revealed no success in people having run these systems on iGPU only without beeping continuously, or without hangs and crashes while loading to BIOS/OS without D-GPU present.

Can anyone give me heads up or some guidance how do I approach this the best way so I get my idea going?

I understand I may be able to find some super old useless MXM cards like MXM 3.0 A type half lenght GPUs that did not come from DELL machines, or perhaps even some older crapy 260m 460m etc that would have been clevo based cards, but I rather have slots empty...

Please share your knowledge and opinions.

    Thanks

You would need a modified bios/ecu to ignore the dgpu signal.

Or just set them to run igp only in the nvidia control panel so they never power up the dgpu cards.

    Thanks for the reply.

I get the idea alright, but how about not having an actual MXM GPU installed at all and keep it running?

Experimented with i5-2xxxM cpu today, I got both HD3000 and NV675M graphics as video adapters options, but when booting without MXM GPU, windows dev manager wont even show a HD3000 iGPU as a device in device tree list :D nor GPUZ can read intel iGPU , while picture otherwise displaying perfectly, so weird :D

I have found I have some HP MXM 3.0A nv230m I think, Ineed to try and start it with it... Any ideas regards sys bios mods? is there one released for this unit by Prema or someone else that has certain options to play with forcing just iGPU without MXM being present?

    Thanks in advance

half size MXM 3.0A Cards wont do it , tried acer and hp branded ones, tried different vbios too, still shuts down after short time, some take longer some less time but beeps after and powers off.

found one thread where Prema mentioned he had removed GPU VBIOS to keep system alive, I may try and do that....

I have dropped email to @Prema and hope to hear back soon... hopefully

Read the top line of my post about running without a dgpu.
