    Hello.
I don't know a lot about operating systems and drivers, so i have a question.
The thing is I just bought a Clevo P150EM via Amazon, and I have been reading about this laptops. They seem very good, I ordered a laptop with a i7-3720q processor, radeon hd 7970m card, 8gb ram, a 750gb sata hard drive, and Windows 7. So here is my question: Does windows 7 comes preinstalled with all the drivers? Or do I have to install them by my own?

Sorry for my english, it's not my birth language.

    Usually, drivers preinstalled.

And even if they're not, its very easy to install on your own. Put in CD and install the drivers in order.

You may get a headache trying to update with AMD beta drivers though; of which you'll see several posts on this forum, hopefully one works for you.
My problems disappeared by upgrading to windows 8.

You can find all the drivers available on the Clevo site as well.

Thanks for the answer omnid88. About the AMD drivers, is the enduro problem solved? I've heard that the HD 7970m has a "low cpu usage" problem related to enduro. Is that solved?

I can't really speak for Amazon, but typically, the system is completely up to date as far as drivers go. I know here, we load all the drivers from the server; even the BIOS is up to date. Beta drivers though = no. ;)

I think the 7970m Enduro drivers are still working out the kinks, but it's more or less a case by case basis.

I forgot to say that this clevo laptop was made by Computer Upgrade King. And many people say that the 12.11 amd driver is working pretty good. So i guess ill just have to wait for my laptop, and hope that it has the right drivers.

I suggest you use the laptop as it comes, dont update AMD drivers unless you really feel you need to or you want to experiment (and suffer) a bit. There are some gains with the newer drivers but IMHO you can use stock or 12.8, 12.9 drivers and 7970M works great.
The enduro issue only affects some titles (mostly multiplayer) and settings.
Currently the beta drivers work pretty good, BUT they give BSODs on startup plugged in. This has not been fixed so far, it can be avoided entering windows password unplugged or setting powerplay to max battery plugged in (in this case you have to set it back to performance to play games or graphic demanding tasks).

so my rec would be to use it and if you stumble into something you dislike, come back here and join the beta installer's club.

Thanks for the advice Voizer. I've realized that many people have trouble installing AMD drivers, so i'll use the laptop as it comes, like you recommended.
