    Dear Forum
I have a p150em laptop with bios from Prema mod and my Realtek driver dose not recognize my plugged headphones. I have the most up to date drivers regarding audio driver as well I have the THX software and the Hotkey software. I tried both Realtek and MS drivers still when I plug headphones to the 3.5mm jack nothing comes up.
Thank you in advance for any advise or help

Which jack are you plugging them into? No sound plays? What happens if you plug them into other jacks do they register a connection?

    Hi Meaker
    thx for ur reply
Im plugging my headphones to the analong front speaker out 3.5 jack and the Realtek HD manager does not promote me with a dialog asking if its a headphone or speakers like the other jacks do, it does register connection and there is a flat non bass low volume sound rly bad, only when setting the configuration to 5.1 speakers there is a proper sound but its very low volume
it looks like the hardware is in perfect shape only some settings and driver issues IMO

    ty again

I would try re-installing them yes, sounds like a funny issue.

Just checking have you tried another cable (if detachable) or tested the headphones in another device and tested other headphones in your laptop?

I'd reinstall just to scrub whatever settings you've got, trying 5.1 settings on stereo headphones should sound worse not better.

    Thanks for the reply
I did several times reinstalling the driver's and nothing helps
I did try different headphones and still the laptop don't switch to headphone mode and thinks it's external speakers. The sound is low volume and without any bass

It will never tell the difference between headphones and speakers automatically, there is really no way for it to know.

Last thing to try is see if some junk jammed in the socket. If the plug doesn't go all the way in it can sound like you describe.

The other option is taking the optical out into a little external amp.

That's sound like a good idea
Maybe invest in a mobile amp
Or what did you mean Marker?

You can edit your posts with the little button on the bottom of your posts :)

Also yes a little amp powered by USB could be good :)
