    Hi Guys,

Just purchased my first Clevo laptop which may I say I am very happy with. I have just one question which I have tried googling / searching these forums yet cant find answer. As this is my first ATI powered PC I am a noob with CCC etc.

How can I configure the laptop to use 7970M as wherever I look it says I have Intel HD4000 installed and not the 7970M. I have checked the BIOS and it is recognised but for gaming's sake I need to know how the configure it to utilize the GPU rather than CPU.

    Sorry for noob post

    Cheers

Every where you look you will only see the HD 4000 besides in most monitoring programs. Even still, games will use the HD 7970M if you tell CCC to do so. You can do this by heading to CCC, then Power, then Switchable Graphics Application Settings. Make sure your games are set for high performance, but all other normal programs set to power saving. If normal programs like web browsers are set to maximum performance, you will be wasting energy and will likely have a louder fan due to the need for cooling the active 7970M. I hope this helps!
