    wow... the backlit is cool! i always play in the dark as my wife sleeps... this would help alot

    It was an engineering sample and is not going to be released to the public according to the notes I had from Clevo.

    I would expect it on the next gen of 15" from them.

    It also needed an extra power connector that isnt on the P150 Motherboard.

    Yes the P150HM-8150 will not have this backlit keyboard. You will find the backlit keyboard on select models in the NEXT GEN.... :)

    Clevo uses their barebones for what? 2 years? So will the next gen come out in Q1 2013?

    Actually it might be when the next Intel refresh comes out, March 2012 is the rumor right now. :)

    Difficult to say, for sure. All we have right now are scraps of evidence. One can certainly hope the X7200 refresh has some option for a backlit keyboard.

    Backlit keyboard will be a nice addition if it eventually gets added into the mix. I'm actually quite interested to see what the next refresh is going to be like. Too me it doesn't make much sense to drastically change the current chassis design, seems to work quite well. Maybe there'll just be a few additions, such as backlit keyboard, upgraded touchpad etc.
