    Hello.
I may have a problematic intel 2760QM CPU.I searched and found out that my model is compatible with some other intel CPUs and i have ended up choosing the 2670QM which is compatible with 1333MHz RAM ( i got 2 sticks of them ).Now my main question is, if i swap the CPU should i do anything else like changing BIOS or updating something?? Ofcourse i would delete my chipset drivers and everything that has to do with Intel (just in case) but would there be any other crucial step that i should take?

no need to change anything, software wise. just swap the CPU, thats it :)

highest performance CPU you can use is the 2960XM, actually works well in the P150HM :)

Also, RAM compatibility goes up to 2133 Mhz, overclocked up to 2200 or even 2400 Mhz. So there is still some headroom left in your machine :)

Great to see some P150HM are still out there! Absolutely loved that machine!

Just found a guy near where i live and he sells for 50 euro that 2670qm so why not meet and test if it's a CPU problem. After all it may be a motherboard problem that i have.
I'm not gonna spend a fortune on buying a supa powerful CPU for my machine, it's kinda old for upgrades. Just want to run it without crash and freezes, that's all.
Thanks for your fast reply and the kind words about my lappy.! :)

Thankfully it's an easy component to swap out on your model, and if you can do so with a test product before committing to buying it, that's perfect.

Since you have a later CPU anything should be p&p.
