I managed to access the main hard drive bay on this laptop (just two screws, easy-peasy) but I don't want to replace my existing hard drive, I want to add a second one. I believe there is a second bay in the machine, but I have a gut feeling it's where my CD drive is. Can anyone confirm?

Looking at the service manual for P150SM, that does indeed appear to be the case -- you'll have to sacrifice the optical drive if you want a second 2.5" HDD/SSD.

However, there's an mSATA slot under the main HDD bay so that's another option if you're just looking for extra storage.

It was the p157sm that had the 2nd bay. Get an msata or yes replace the ODD.

Yes,unfortunately for cheap, high capacity storage, you'll need to give up the internal optical drive. Or, if you're looking to get your first SSD for the system, you can either put your current drive in the ODD bay and put a SSD in its place, or leave the drive where it's at and add a mSATA.

As rhutor said, one mSATA connector is under the main hard drive bay (under the plate). The other is below the battery (not underneath it), near the memory modules underneath the large back plate/cover.
