Hi, i am considering to Upgrade the card to 980m or 1060m if its possible (less expencive)

But i am having a hard time finding out if its possible to do it without a Premamod?

    Best regards
    Oljo

You do not need premamod for upgrades, any card will work, except for few versions that start EC panic, such as Dell cards.

The 1060 seems to be not causing many issues, mostly it's just getting the heatsink to fit just right.

If it's a kit I would assume so, but you can always ask.

Reboot in driver signing disabled mode to install them (advanced restart option) once installed you can run normally.
