    Hi guys,

I have an issue with a Clevo P150SM, it receives power (Power, Battery LED light up, multi-meter confirms the board is receiving power) however when I press the Power Button it simply flashes for a split second without powering on.

I've tried re-seating the CPU, GPU, CMOS Battery and removing all of the HDD's and even changing the RAM modules, which resulted in the same issue.

Any idea on what I can do to fix the issue or do I have a dud board? I can post a small video of the issue if required. Thanks!

It's probably the AC adapter that is faulty, the fact that he can provide to good voltage without load doesn't mean he can provide enough amp !
Try with another AC adapter, maybe that will fix you problem.
You can also try to power it without you battery :)

try a EC reset. remove mains and battery and then press and hold power button down for 15 seconds.
plug mains back in without battery and then try and power on as normal.
then turn off, remove mains and try on battery only.
then finally turn off and try mains with battery installed then report back.

You can try the EC reset/power cycle, but I'm thinking something else is amiss here. Try booting the system on either battery standalone, or AC standalone, as Elipsus suggested.

If either of those don't work it could be a short on the components or the motherboard. You would want to try and re-seat everything.

AC Adapter works normally, no faults there.

I've re-seated everything again, discharged any power in the machine, etc. Nothing seems to work. Pretty sure the mainboard is faulty :(

I know you said you swapped out ram, but did you try one stick of ram in different slots at all? Otherwise, it might be time to check in for a new mobo :(

Yup, tried all variations. I'll have to contact Clevo to get a new mainboard. I appreciate all the help everyone.

I'm sad to hear it turned out to be a real issue, hopefully the repair goes smoothly.

This is what I was afraid of. Hopefully you can get the board replaced without much hassle. :vbfrown:
