    Greetings Brothers (and Sisters),

I seek advise with regard to my upcoming purchase of Clevo P150SM. I have 3 questions:

    1. I will use the laptop primarily to play World of Tanks and maybe other MMO's (like World of Warcraft etc... and Diablo III, Starcraft etc...). Thus, for the above-mentioned purposes I am trying to save $250 and will probably get AMD® Radeon™ HD 8970M instead of NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 780M. I would like some confirmation that the upgrade is not worth the price in my case (given the games that I play). On the other hand, should I just splurge and invest for the future in case I want to play more intensive games (I don't play FPSs).

    2. I have Windows 7 disc at home. Would you recommend to spend the extra $80 or so to get the laptop with pre-installed operating system or install my own. I am afraid that the retailer wont be able to test the system prior to shipment with no operating system installed. Please enlighten me at how the empty systems are tested. Also, if I were to order a system with an OS, should I go with Windows 8 and hope that 8.1 and beyond will improve its glaring problems?

    3. Which retailer to use among, Gentech, Xotipc, Mythlogic, etc... Primarily I am concerned with build quality, warranty and support.

    Thanks in advance.

They install an OS on it temporarily for testing. You don't have to worry about that.

The build quality will be the same no matter what the seller since it's the same system.

Thanks that's good to know. Now to consider whether installing an operating system and all the drivers (and all the time and perhaps pain appurtenant thereto) is worth the savings.

Typically if you know how an os install is easy on pre tested hardware. Intel chioset, nvidia graphics, touchpad, sound and camera drivers. May as well get the latest drivers forneach from their respective manufacturers.

I'm sure all of us with builders in our sigs sound like broken records. And even though I dont have experience with anyone else, I feel confident I have found my permanent home for my laptop needs for the rest of my life. All places have some bad reviews out there, and a good chunk of them I think we can all agree came back to some sort of misunderstanding on the end users side, or something that was just plain hard to control and the person is pissed because they spent good money on a bad experience.

However, I seem to see the least amount of bad things from Mythlogic. Unless it was impossible or just plain not a request anyone could fill - I have yet to hear the word no from them. Any "warranty" issues, typical or atypical versions, have been handle with a very quick yes unless I told them the urgency was extremely low. Such as a replacement "Mythlogic" emblem for the lid of my laptop. Notice, I did NOT say sticker! Much better quality in not only the level of service from these guys. Everything down to the "stickers" are top notch.

I will tell mention this though. If you are simply price shopping - you may want to look somewhere else. While their prices are competitive and by no means can they be classified as "over priced" - you do have to pay a bit extra for the level of service, quality, and complete perfection during the build process. If however those three things are very important to you. Please - save youself the time and aggrevation. Go to MYTHLOGIC :: Custom Performance Computers or call 1-800-735-2515

Heck - they might even remember me and my pain in the . Then again with a last name like Kielbasa - its hard to fricken forget!!! lol

DISCLAIMER: Before anyone goes there, no I do not work for them. I do not leave in Michigan. Check my post history. I'm just one extremely happy customer who they will have for life. (If they like it r not!!! lol)

Lol, I think he can find the number just fine on the website lol, I'm glad you are happy though, it can seem negative on the forum sometimes when it's the place people go to with issues.
