I'm having trouble with installing video drivers for my clevo/horize P150SM. The GFX card is a AMD 8970M and I've been trying to install the AMD mobile graphics card video drivers : "13-12_mobility_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql"
Currently my windows theme is set to basic and also does not recognize my video card in dxdiag due to the lack of drivers. However even after installing this driver nothing changes, in both the theme and it still fails to see my card.
Is this wrong driver or another I should be using?
    Thanks

    What's your OS. Win 8 or 8.1?

Also, try uninstalling all AMD software from the Programs and Features control panel before installing the AMD drivers.

Did you make sure installing the latest intel drivers FIRST? this is a crucial part since otherwise your amd card will never get recognised.. and ofcourse always reboot between installing intel and amd drivers

I haven't installed any intel drivers yet, when I went to use the 'Driver update utility' it's stuck on 'analyzing computer..' Any idea what specific drivers I need? or if theres an alternative to the driver update utility?

Intel chipset driver first before other driver installs, then the Intel HD graphics driver is what webcrtor was alluding to. If they are not installed before the AMD driver, the system will not properly recognize the AMD hardware.

You can find Intel HD drivers on Intel website, you probably have Intel HD 4600.

Hi, I managed to install the Intel HD drivers and then installed the AMD video driver. In dxdiag it still says that my card is Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and not my AMD gfx card: 8970M - this is after I installed the AMD driver?? I've tested it in games and seems ok but I don't want to be limiting myself due to drivers

Download GPU-Z and see what it says. It should have a tab on the bottom left to switch between integrated/dedicated. I'm pretty sure you are ok.
