Any word on Optimus (and battery life) in there if anyone can read it?
How is it implemented (auto switch like on most laptops or manual switching like with M17xR3) and how well is it working now (any impact on performance)?

I can read Chinese, and there is no word about Optimus.
The GPU tested in the review is GTX 675M

A piece of good news for sure is that according to a post in a Chinese forum, the P1XXEM series will have improved audio performance (a different speaker) over the previous P1XXHM series. :)

Thats a rather dissapointing battery life gain over the P150HM. Kinda glad i didnt wait for it :p.

It has Onkyo speakers as i read.

Those who had hands in with this model during Cebit Also said they Had improved speakers. Onkyo could be interesting. I'm sure whatever they are, they'll be better than my Inspirons speakers lol.

nice 3 usb 3.0 ports, and a display port and hdmi and dvi, this means that you could run with a kepler gpu, up to 3 external and the internal screen at the same time, awesome. additionally if what nvidia said about the new drivers and the surround display stuff that means even my card could output up to 3 different screens.

3 usb3's are cool, but overall we're down one usb port, which is bad. Do you have a source that mobile kepler can do 4 displays? I thought only the desktop 680 can do that.

How so? It looks like there's still 4 total USB ports (3 3.0's on the left side, one of which is in the eSata port, and a 2.0 on the right side).

That model they're reviewing has a Sandy Bridge CPU in it. Do you think a SB version is going to come out first before IB release :O?

The P150HM has 2 USB 3.0's, and 3 USB 2.0's (including the eSATA/USB combo port) for a total of 5 USB ports.

The P150EM has 3 USB 3.0's (including the combo port), and only 1 USB 2.0 for a total of 4 USB ports.

Personally, I think I would prefer the P150HM's configuration. The back port is a great place to put my wireless mouse's receiver. I would hate to constantly use the back port for things like flash drives, but since the mouse receiver would be there all the time, it's not a problem. That leaves the more convenient and easily accessed side ports free.

Ah, I didn't know the HM had 5 USB slots. I have an old 8690 and 2 of the 4 USB's are in the back, which I absolutely hate. I'm looking forward to upgrading to a P170EM when it comes out.

Yeah, HM had 5 USB's. Oh well, 4 is still a good upgrade for me as I currently have 2. I actually wish the video ports were on the side because when you have enough ports on one side to double-stack them (Like the P180HM and P270WM) it looks really cool. Also, yeah we probably (unfortuneately) are either going to have to eat a SB version for most of April or nothing at all :mad2:

Not a big fan of the backlit keyboard, i think the chiclet style on the P150HM looks nicer, but other than that, it looks awesome and from what i could gather from the google translated version of the review, it's a damned monster of a laptop.

Which is nice because I'm probably getting one when it comes out.

I'm getting pretty psyched about this laptop; been saving my pennies for it.
Is it confirmed that it can run more than 1 external display + the internal? Dual external LCD's + the internal would be just...glorious.

ordered mine yesterday, it's gonna take a month to receive but I'm so excited, this is going to be my first notebook and decent pc. It's a shame i'm going to use it only for college since I don't have time for nothing :(

Where did you order it from? I didn't think there were places for pre-order when the ivy bridge has been delayed...

here in Brasil we have Avell instead of sager, malibal and others, and they started selling them last thursday. Bought mine with matte screen 95% color gamut, 750 gb 7200rpm and a bluray writer for something like U$2600.

waiting for the ivy bridge isn't going to increase so much performance since the sandy bridge is still awesome and you can change it later if you have a place to buy notebook stuff

Is that really the P150EM though? The chinese review showed no fingerprint reader on the touchpad, and the ordering site does. Are you sure its not the PM with a 675M?

Look at their homepage, they stole an image of our Lotus Series from our website: Avell Notebooks - that's the exact same image you see in my avatar.

WEI doesn't count for much.. I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

It seems some have finger print readers and others don't. The same thing happened with the 2011 models iirc.

I feel like remember this happening to you guys with one of the 2011 models too. You'd better get after them lol.

Looks fantastic, but i'm holding out for ivy bridge and the 680M.

Is anyone able to confirm whether the P150EM has the same rubbery finish as the P150HM? I personally hope not ><

Yes it will.. I wonder if it's possible to fit the 150EM innards in the 151EM so you could keep the backlit keyboard..

Assuming that the reason the 151 doesn't have BL keys is more complicated than just buying a different keyboard and plugging in an extra cable like with some dell laptops..
