I am curious if there is anyway I can control the fan in the laptop. It has decided it never wants to turn off. It is always on the highest setting even when just browsing the web.

If you try that and it doesn't work, you might also look at the BIOS update. I know some of the Sager machines had an issue with the fan constantly being on so they updated the fan tables to take care of the issue. You will want to contact your reseller to inquire about getting that update since they don't make it available for download on the web.

Just wanted to say thanks for this! I had the same problem, looks like I pressed Fn + 1 rather than FN + F1 to disable the trackpad, and the noise was beginning to get on my nerves.
