Hey guys, got my Clevo a week before Skyrim, runs Battlefield 3 at med settings around 30-50fsp, but Skyrim isn't doing so hot. On ultra(high and med hardly make a difference) I'm getting roughly 17-35fps. Anyone have better luck than me?

    i7 2670 @2.2Ghz, GTX 560m, 8gb DDR3 RAM, 320gb 7200rpm HDD

Playing Skyrim on Ultra Settings with 6990m here. FPS is great.

Have you tried some of the performance tweaks available at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community I didnt neeed them, but maybe they would help.

Silly question, but is your machine on AC power and not battery? Have you changed the Windows power settings and Power Conservation mode (through the hotkey driver) to performance settings?

I have the NP8130 (same as P151HM1) with the i7-2630QM and GTX 560M and I can play on Ultra at 40-50 FPS. I haven't overclocked or anything, this is stock settings.

I had the same configuration, barring the processor (i have i7 2630QM - not that much of a difference) and could play it in the Ultra high configuration just fine - getting stable > 60 fps count with occasional drop to 30~ - 40~ fps; AF turned off. have you tried to fiddle with the Nvidia control panel setting just to find out if it makes any difference?

No I haven't, are you running 1080p? And, have you used any performance mods or patches supplied by modders? Anything to make it run better?

Malibal #2. I would like to tell you that I love you. I was having similar problems with a 6990m and lo and behold, I was on power saver! I had no idea I was such an idiot.

Or maybe he's got a setting different than you do, like shadows or AA? My 560m gets pretty much the same as his and I've only tweaked a few things.

To the OP, I would suggest checking out the Skyrim Performance Thread and following some of the .ini and other tweaks. A few settings in this game can make a drastic difference in terms of performance. Also, try the fxaa injector mod linked on that thread. Good luck!
