Hello everyone, I bought a clevo PC for about 6 months and had no problems until yesterday. So, yesterday I was watching a game on the PC and suddenly some of the keys stop working. I thought it was a virus and decided to format the pc. Then i re-installed windows 7 but the keys still don't work. Well, sometimes they work and then stop working. The only keys which are always working are: -; +; and enter in the right side of the keyboard. Futhermore, when I type the "C" key the pc write "C /", the same goes for the button "M" and "X". Can someone help me??

    thanks

It sounds like something may have got spilled on the keyboard. Is this possible?

Maybe, but the PC was in the desk and did not drop. I really don't know what is happening.

Dropping wouldn't necessarily have to be involved. If something spilled on the keyboard causing the contacts to short across circuits then you'd experience something like this. I would advise contacting your reseller for advice on the next step on this particular issue.

i was thinking along the same lines as Derek.

Maybe oopps! if some liquid did spill onto the keys then you dont need to drop the laptop to damage it as liquid and electrical equipment just do not mix.
any idea what it might have been as if it was something like coke or anything with sugar in it you could have problems.
with any sort of liquid the first thing to do is turn off and remove mains and battery and turn upside down. i read on here a few times that putting it in a bowl of rice (not fried rice) can help.

the first thing you need to check if it wasnt you was what was spilt onto it.
next you need to contact your supplier support as if it was a lot of liquid it could of fried the motherboard and depending who your supplier is it might not be covered by warranty.

If there is no spill damage, and you already re-installed the driver (well, you re-installed Windows, so consequently, you did re-install the driver) it is most likely a faulty keyboard (key matrix or circuitry may have gone to the dogs). The keyboard probably needs replaced - unless the controller itself on the board is bad.

    RMA time. :(

Well, I'm almost absolutely sure that nothing was spilled in the PC. Maybe the best thing to do is contact the supplier. Thanks for the answers

Definitely contact them, this will likely result in an RMA or at the very least new keyboard replacement.
