    Hi all,

My main point is a Wi-fi/BluTooth all in one card. I see intel as a 6230 card but is there any others?

I've decided get a desktop replacement with all the power thats available these days in laptops and it is for sure between these 2 model. I live in the UK and found a site called RJTECH.com in the USA which will sell me just the bits i want. The shells and video cards really cause id want the new ATI 6970's, the rest i would prefer to choice myself in after market.

For 1 i would prefer get such a system from within the EU to avoid silly import charges which i can avoid to a certain extent but no one seems to sell bits cut down. Eurocom will do it for 10+ units but they still want it filled with alot of there stuff so the price isnt worth it.

I would interested in becoming a seller of high end laptops within the UK (sorry kobalt :D ) to avoid stupid import/export regulations because i for one am fed up of paying £10,000 on tax and seen nothing for it every year. I could rant about how tax is against the law but thats another subject :)

    My point is id have a Vertex 3 with 2x seagates XT raid 0, i7 2720, 8gb samsung pc-12800 Ati 6970 for around £1500 + Shipping + little tax.

The x7200 would have 2x 6970's and the ODD would be kept internal instead of external.

Any help/advice is highly appreciated and thanks before hand

    Ian

No offense but that didn't make much sense.

If I am to understand you correct you want a barebone? I am pretty sure there are plenty european resellers willing to sell you barebones.

Then you also want to become a reseller? I did not really get that part. If you want to import from America and want to completely pick your own components then just buy from Sager. Eurocom, as you say, sell only complete notebooks to their european partners. There are of course other options but I'll stop here and wish you good luck.

Edit: Concerning combo cards there are basically:

    Sucky noname cards (from Clevo)
    Sucky Intel cards
    Intel 6230
Intel 6250 (Donno if it's available yet, have not seen one myself so far)

Yes, my english litrature is bad. I appologise for that.

The reseller idea is just that, an idea so forget that for now. You got me right about wanting barebone system with 6970's in and thats all as there not on the market yet (that i have seen). But eurocom as i say want me have stuff with them also. i.e, not barebone :( I've messaged kobalt/AET Solutions in cananda/Kobalt in uk and some german company i forget the name of now but have all options available too. I now have e-mailed sager direct but its friday night now :( As i say, for now im after either one of these systems with ATI 6970 (2x in x7200/clevo NP7280) if the price is right :)

And thanks for the wireless blutooth thing, I thought the 8230 was my only real choice as the 8300 as no BT :(

Many thanks and sorry i can be hard to understand :)
