    Hello.
I have old problem for someone but new for me :) Trying upgrade video card for my laptop Clevo P170HM3 from GTX580 to GTX680 4GB. Tried a different driver versions with modified inf file for WIN 10 64BIT but laptop freezes after restart or goes to endless restart. Sometimes drivers even not ask me to restart laptop, screen goes black and start restarting immediately. The same symptoms was with WIN7 64BIT. I turning off Driver Signature Enforcement check before installing drivers and after driver failure using DDU to uninstal old ones. Is this can be bios problem ?? Motherboard bios or video card bios ? Or maybe someone still have old drivers which was perfectly working for him ( Clevo P170HM3 + GTX680 owner ) and that good guy can share them with me :) ? Thank you for any help

    Bioses

    MB Series : P170HM3
    BIOS Revision : 1.01.05
    KBC/EC firmware Revision 1.00.09

    Vga Card : Empty
    VBIOS Revision : 80.04.29.00.01
    VBIOS Build Date : 05/07/12

You mean laptop cant properly see ( communicate) with video card ?

Ok. A little bit update. After a lot of atempts with video drivers with different motherboard bioses what was found out. After installing drivers and when i got white screen in the same moment if you connect external monitor it will work ( external monitor not main screen ). And the White main screen changes his color to black. If you trying to show desktop with icons and etc. from external to main screen message pops up with something like action is impossible or something like that cant remember. I dig on internet and found out that 3D monitor may be the issue here :( Then just wondering is possible to change 3d monitor to regular ? And then maybe it will start working ? :D

In the end. Pulled out the GTX 680 went back to my stock GTX 580. Now thinking about to swap 3D panel to non 3D, but I highly doubt this will work :/

The main issue there is the connector is a 50pin one? So there are not a huge number of options out there.
