Um, I am not that familiar with that system, but shouldn't the GPU slots have say something like "master" or "slave" in the PCB boards at the GPU MXM slots?

You can just use one card. Master slot should be the one without cpu heatsink.
If you are sure that one gpu is dead then you could try "baking" method to revive it back to life. I tried it with my previous clevo and will do it with P370EM if needed. It took me 3 attempts, but then it worked like new.

Unfortunately the 7970ms all seem to be dying. You'll see a lot of posts within the past year of peoples' cards burning out. Mine died last October. The baking method can work. It also took me a few tries and it did start to work but I still would get an occasional boot problem. Ended up getting a 980m so I wouldn't have to worry. Pretty sure you could do the same with your 370. Plus the 980 is a strong card and you could extend the life of your 370 drastically, especially if you get SLI 980m. Although that would be a big chunk of change so might be worth it to get a newer model laptop like p870dm, or just get by with a single 7970m and hold out until pascal/Polaris mobile cards come out.

I would try switching them out as mentioned and try to run off of one card. I would see if there is anything else that you might be able to do to fix the other one, as baking it might be the last option to consider. I know getting it repaired would possibly take funds away from possibly purchasing a new card, but I would see if there might be anything else to help fix it before trying to bake it.

It's worth switching first and double checking it is the card.

Hi everyone! I had the same problem, so I decided to switch the cards by each other as I don't know which I one is the main. The computer now starts and I can even hear the windows music but I get only a black screen. Any suggestions on how to recover from this?
