    Ciao,

I'm going to change my M570U after 7 years..

So I would like to buy a new Clevo product.....

I want a model with 2 HDD bay + 2 mSATA SSD slot.

I've seen those 2 models.....As far as I can see the main difference is the SLI support for the 37x series.....

Anybody know which are other differences between those 2 models?

Some people seem to think the cooling is better on the 370, and some(all?) 370s have a thunderbolt port. I think you may need 2 power bricks to do SLI, but I'm not sure. Some 170s had an issue with the 2nd msata port, but I believe that's been resolved. make sure you're getting the latest motherboard from a vendor that advertises 2 x 6Gb/sec mSATA ports.

The 370 supports sli, and has an option of a 120hz, 3D display, and has thunderbolt instead of a mini display port. The 370 weighs slightly more and is slightly bigger. And as said, it does use two AC adaptors for power.

The issue with the second msata port was resolved a long time ago. So no worries about getting an old motherboard.

I just got the P170SM, as most games can run on high or ultra already with the 780M. I figured by the time I was ready to upgrade the gpu and needed sli, I would just get a new computer as everything could be upgraded. There is a price difference as well...

Actually the P370SM uses only ONE 330W adapter, even with 780M SLI. It can use two if you buy a second and a power converter box, but it's not required to run the thing. When gaming in Sleeping Dogs with everything on Extreme, the peak power draw is about 280W from the wall as measured by Kill-A-Watt, so the single 330W PSU is enough if you're not overclocking.

    Some other key differences:
    Port placements
    -370 has NO USB ports on the left, 2 x USB 3.0 at back, 2 x USB 3.0 on right + 1 x USB 2.0/eSATA
-170 has 3 x USB 3.0 on the left (one is combo eSATA), NONE at the back, and 1 x USB 2.0 on the right
-170 has a firewire (IEEE 1394) port and display port, 370 doesn't; 370 has Thunderbolt instead
-370 audio ports are on the LEFT; 170 audio ports are on the RIGHT

    Wifi card:
370 is on the backside of the MB and can be accessed by removing the back cover; 170 is under the keyboard

    Optimus:
370 has Optimus permanently disabled (huge plus for me), 170 has Optimus permanently enabled

The 370 does not use optimus/enduro so the battery life is shorter but the display can be over clocked.

Also the thunderbolt port on the 370sm also functions as a mini-display port.
