Could someone give me their unbiased opinion about the aforementioned model's keyboard in regards to comfort, feedback and overall quality compared to the asus gaming notebooks... Couldn't find many reviews

    Thanks in advance

When Sager first started using the island style a couple years back there was more then usual bad feedback about them, but they have come a long way and most people are generally happy with them. Asus is still using the chiclet style which is more popular and seem to be more preferred.

Pretty much this. Any complaints nowadays are in the minority, The keyboards are robust, responsive, and well designed. :)

    Thanks for your inputs.
Do Alienware notebooks use the same keyboard? They look similar..
Also, kinda off topic, how does the p377sm-a's cooling system compare to the asus g751?
How loud do the fans get? Someone should really do a review and benchmarking video of this unit.

No the keyboard is not the same.

You can't really compare the noise of a dual card and single card system.

The G751 has a great cooling design. The G751 is likely to run a little cooler if you're comparing apples to apples (P377SM-A with a single card and similar processor), but I don't think it's a flagrant difference. The same goes for fan noise, though any gaming laptop is going to be louder than your garden variety entry level or multimedia laptop.

To be honest, I hate chiclet style keyboards and thus love the P370SM3 (aka P377SM-A)'s keyboard. It's up to you if you like or want it.

I can say it's nice to type on, and perfectly fine for gaming. Probably not as great as a mechanical keyboard, but I see nothing really wrong with it.

That being said I've never tried one of those ASUS keyboards, so I can't compare. All I can say is that unless you're extremely picky, the P37xSM type keyboards should be just fine.

I prefer the keyboard on the NP8258-S hands and shoulders above the Asus G51 that I originally had.

It's more responsive, and has a better tactile.

I've used both chiclet keyboards (on an ASUS) and am currently using an island style with my notebook, and I have to say I prefer the island style. Also not as much dust gets in between so that's a good thing I guess.
