I'm looking at a Clevo P570WM bare bones. I have a 990x cpu and am thinking of putting it the monster to save a ton of money. I'll also have 880m in sli and 12 gb ddr3.
With this setup i think ill have one of the strongest gaming laptops (not really a laptop anymore) for only like $2,759.
Do you guys see anything wrong with this kind of setup? I'm not buying it now but just planning what to save up for.

I don't think the X79 chipset in the P570WM will support the 990X; it has to be a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge CPU. Although the previous generation (called the D900F if I'm not mistaken) will support the 990X.

Hmm dang that sucks. I decided to go with the clevo 377sm anyways because i could get a laptop with similar performance in gaming because CPUs don't play as big a role in gaming like the GPUs and since they both can support sli 880m then there would be no need to get the P570WM, unless you would also need a workstation (which i don't
) Thanks for the response though, it helped finalize my decision.
