Hello,
I would like to ask for advice on how should I setup my Clevo laptop to work with an external monitor through one of the miniDP ports which are tied directly with 1050Ti, as when connected monitor appears with no signal sign (Monitor AW2518HF).
Although it works when its connected with HDMI, as you know with my combination I can't achieve 240hz with HDMI as the monitor has HDMI 2.0 which is capable, but my lap has HDMI 1.4, so I'm stuck at 120hz for now.
I have tried to disable iGPU, but with no luck. Also found some information that I should enable Intel Thunderbolt through BIOS, but couldn't find such option, as well as "DDI to DP / DDI to TB" which was suggested as well.
So is there anything else should be done in settings or is it supposed to be plug n play and I should get to try different miniDP to DP cable?
Thank you for any help!

Your manual tells you on page 18 ( http://www.clevo.com/en/e-services/download/USRManualOut.asp?model=P64xHK1/HJ).
Port 1 is 1.4 capable.
Sounds like you may need a different cable.
You are not able to disable the IGP or route the display outputs via one or the other as it is all hard wired in. -
Appreciate your reply!
The cable I'm using is able to work with DP 1.2, but as I read online cable itself doesn't really has 1.2, 1.4 etc.. It just matters if its quality cable or not, as the ports are what matters.
Manual wise, yes I searched through it as well, that 1. port is capable for DP 1.4, the 2. port is DP 1.2. Thing is that I tried to use the 2nd port as well which is DP 1.2, there is still no signal too.
For e.g. check this video:
It's an older model of P640 with 970M, but he clearly states that one of the miniDP is tied directly with dGPU, although it's all about G-Sync which I don't have, but in general my miniDP ports don't work at all. (or my cable...)
Also, I can't seem to find a DDI to DP / DDI to TBT option on my BIOS?
Thanks! -

There is no thunderbolt on yours I thought? That just moves the displayport signal between the thunderbolt port or displayport.
I suspect a bad cable. -
Thanks for your reply, eventually - yes, I'm glad that it was only a bad cable.
Thanks for your help!
P.S. As of TB settings you're right, my model doesn't have TB, so that explains why there are no TB settings in BIOS. -

I'm glad you have got it sorted, it looks like the mini-dp cables have the most issues with this sort of thing.
