Does anyone know if Clevo has chosen to discontinue their P650 line? I had a look on their website today hoping to see something with the 1080m, but in so doing noticed that the P650 seems to be gone. This was always my favourite model as it was a really good combination of portability and power.
I sadly have the older P650SG, but if supplies are now discontinued, I should probably grab the P650RG-G while they're still around.
If anyone has heard anything about this line, would be most keen to learn.

I suggest looking through some of the threads on here as to the reason why some models may be unavailable for a period of time

What Meaker is hinting (he's under NDA and can't freely talk about this topic) is that the Pascal launch is imminent and with it Clevo's next line of notebooks, that most likely also includes a refresh of your loved P650 series (though so far I could only find leaked information about the P640 series). Many suppliers have stopped offering Maxwell-based models for the time as this week Pascal for notebooks should be officially announced at gamescom, and will be available soon after. More news here.
Oh, and, Clevo already lists the new notebooks (without GPU info) here. -
Yes the P650 is getting a pascal refresh
. But will only get an Nvidia 1070 or 1060

Personally I'm waiting on the P650 refresh with 1070.

Many thanks for all of the replies! Very happy to hear the P650 is alive and well, and will be getting a Pascal refresh. Definitely something worth waiting for!

Strangely, Aftershock is still selling them...

Stock does not magically vanish even with a new launch

Yeah, they might still sell old models if they have remaining stock.
Look for the P650RP or RS, or P670RP / RS for 17 inch models. Sager now have them listed as the NP81xx models, instead of the NP86xx of the previous generation.
Those would have a 1060 or 1070. No "m" variant. A nice step up from the 970m / 980m.hmscott and i_pk_pjers_i like this. -
Well, I just realised that Aftershock is now taking orders for Pascal laptops and also slashing prices for Maxwell laptops!
