Does the Clevo P650RE support PCIE m.2 4 lane cards?

If so, is it a specific slot of the three m.2 slots available?

Also, if it does support it, can I use other m.2 at the same time?

    Thanks!

Yes it supports PCIe m.2 x4

Only one of the slots does, it should be labeled "combo" on the motherboard.

If there is a PCIe m.2 in it disables the other slot and the third slot is just for Wi-Fi.

The slot between the battery and 2.5" SATA bay is the PCIe slot. The slot just below the 2.5" bay is mSATA only.

I have installed a samsung PRO 950 SSD into this slot, but it will not come register with the computer...I have a 1 TB 7200 HDD and a 128 gb SSD right now in the machine with updated bios and drivers...any reason why this isn't working?

Is it in the right slot for PCI-E?

Yes, it is installed in the correct slot. It is in the slot between the sata hdd and the battery.

Ok and it's not showing up in disk manager in windows where you would normally format a new disk?

It is not. It does not show anywhere. I have made sure it is secured in the slot

What happens if you remove the other M.2?

It won't show in the BIOS setup.

Have you tried moving it to the other slot? It won't run at PCIe speeds there, but if it shows up, that might be an indicator that the PCIe slot is bad.

So upon removing the other m.2, I was able to boot the system and put windows on the 512 gb Samsung. The Samsung shows up in the device manager but not on the bios. When putting the 128 gb SanDisk, the samsung is no longer recognized. I'm not sure what to make of this...

The computer can only use one PCIe m.2 or one/two Sata m.2 drives. It won't be able to use one PCIe and one Sata at the same time.

This is interesting. I can run the PCIe and my sata at the same time as well as m.2 and sata at the same time too. However, I cannot run m.2 and PCIe. If I'm running PCIe and sata, how will my speeds diminish? I am debating on selling the PCIe and simply upgrading the sata to a SSD.

You have 3.5GB/sec of total bandwidth from the chipset so any combined storage wont be faster than that.

So unless you get the fastest available PCI-E SSD then the 2.5" SATA wont impact the speed of it.
