I was playing a game when it suddenly shut off. Pressing the power button a few times didn't help. The LED in the power adapter was off, so I replugged in another outlet and it turned on. But the moment I plugged the adapter to the laptop, power adapter's light went out. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your main board needs replaced. Not sure of what on it went out, but these are telltale signs of a failed motherboard.

Or the brick is dead, either way I would contact your reseller.
