I'm the proud owner of a Clevo P650RP6-G, i own this beauty for about 5-6 months. I use this notebook as my daily driver for college and couldn't be happier with it.
The only problem I have with the notebook is the temperature. When i'm playing League of Legends or any other sort of game it heats up, really hard. With realtemp i managed to hit above 90 degrees while gaming. Now I don't know that much about notebooks but this problem only occurs when the notebook is charging , the energy settings are set on high performance and only during gaming load.
Bear in mind the laptop is always on a cooling pad.
I could avoid the problem by gaming on it while it's not recharging but to be quiet honest the battery on load doesn't last for multiple hours that easily.
Thanks in advance for any help!

The X Cross method is the best in my experience as once the heatsink is fitted, it provides the maximum coverage with the least air bubbles
You can also try undervolting your CPU a bit. Start with a -100mV undervolt and see if things are stableProstar Computer, TomJGX, Beemo and 1 other person like this. -
Gaming on battery is cooler because clock speeds are being automatically reduced. You could underclock it in the same way using Throttlestop for CPU and Nvidia inspector or MSI Afterburner for the GPU. Gaming on battery regularly like that will be degrading your battery fast.
Check your paste as phoenix suggested. Also look through the vents where the hot air comes out with a torch, are they clogged with furry dust?
Are all your fans spinning fast during games when it gets hot?
Do you have Clevo control center installed? What fan profile is it on? -

Well it's a bit like ram only in reverse with voltage, you have no problem reducing it until you reach that point where it's not quite enough and bam the system crashes.
