Hi I'm just wondering what the two major differences in these laptops mainly?

I know the P650SE is thinner and lighter. Are there any major differences between them otherwise?

(LCD Panels? Temps?) They can both be fit with a 970M so that's a plus :)

P650SE has the CPU and GPU soldered to the motherboard, the P150SM-A does not. The P650SE has M.2 SSD slots, the P150SM-A has mSATA. The stock 1080p LCD in the P650SE is crummy, but not sure what it is in the P150SM-A these days either.

At least to me the more I look at the two the more I lean towards the 150SM-A. The P650SE I'm fairly sure does not have an optical drive and like WingNut said it's CPU and GPU is soldered and has the more expensive but future and proof M.2 SSD slots, it also has a lacking 4 cell PSU. What the P650SE truly has going for it is its slim and cool looking design but other then that arguably the M.2 slots and some other minor improvements at least in my mind it's debatable which one is better (although I think they target slightly different audiences, and not a /true/ successor of the 150SM-A if it was meant to be one). My next laptop will probably be the P6X1SE, but I'm slightly dissatisfied with it. Anyone else with this problem? What's so good about the P650SE other then it's slimmer design form of course.

There is the new Clevo P750ZM coming out soon, so you might want to check that out if you are looking at buying a Clevo.

The P750ZM has a desktop CPU and a MXM GPU both not soldered. It doesn't last long on battery supposedly due to the power consumption of the desktop like CPU and the 980m or 970m. There's a thread going on right now about it in this forum, it can explain a lot better then I can. Also when you choose a reseller check out what kind of reviews they have on the reseller review sub forum here.

That's pretty much the jist fluffy. The other major difference is the lack of optical drive on the zm.

    P650Sx :
SLIM WLED panels (slim+front mounting holes, IPS, IGZO, AVHA are slim only) are compatible with the P650SG probably with the P750ZM but absolutely not with the p150.
    Soldered GPU+CPU for the P650SG
    M.2 slots for the P650SG
    25/28mm

    The p150SM :
Optical drive (you see that like an advantage or not, you choose).
Interchangeable MXM+CPU : but limited by vbios.
    not 25/28mm ^^

Optical Drive for me is a biggie (I still buy old 50s R&B Albums you can't find on itunes!)

Anyone know what the Panels on the 150SM-A look like? My old Clevo is rocking the 95% Gamut and I love it.

Also is there a big difference between 157SM and the 150SM-A?

Thanks for all your answers so far! Much appreciated!

Current screens look pretty good, though they won't look as nice as that 95% gamut panel you have.

The P157SM-A touts two SATA connections for 2.5" storage drives, while the P150SM-A sports one SATA port dedicated for storage drives. Beyond that the differences are largely aesthetic.
