    Hey guys/gals,

It has been particularly annoying to keep unplugging my headphones from the 3.5mm jack all the time if I want to use the speakers on the laptop. Is there a software that I can change the speaker output from headphones to speaker, and the other way around? Thanks.

No, the two are linked in the audio drivers.

If you uninstall the Realtek drivers and just use the Microsoft ones, then it separates the headphones from the speakers as you would expect. Unfortunately that means you won't be able to use any of the Realtek or SoundBlaster features though.
