Hi all,
I have a Clevo P670RS-G which I re-pasted 6 months ago with LM (Kryonat).
Initially, I could feel how the temps went down like 10-15 degrees, but 2 weeks ago the laptop temps started to go up to 85-95 when gaming (Sometimes even showing artifacts) and thermal throttling.
I opened the laptop yesterday and I could feel like the GPU socket/die was definitely not making good contact. I was thinking of following this mod -> http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...cooling-mod-for-p775dm2-p775dm3.803626/page-3 but my MB is different. I could only apply it to the CPU.
I've just ordered one of this IC Graphite thermal pad for the GPU and I was thinking to use LM again for the CPU.
However my heat sink seems to be a bit crap anyway and there is a lot of people complaining about heat issues with this motherboard. I was wondering if anyone has tried something for this? Different thermal paste than LM? Some modifications?
Thanks

The cooling system struggled a bit with the unified heatsink, but I don't recall reports of any egregious contact issues on this model. A thicker paste might help if that is the case here, though (e.g. IC Diamond).

The pad is worse than paste.

I had this issue as well. Ended up replacing the Conductonaut (LM) to Kryonaut (this was actually unintentional, I ran out of conductonaut and accidentally bought kyronaut
). Disabling speed shift fixed it for me. Temps hover around 80C now

Disabling speed shift disabled turbo IIRC which is not ideal. Something is going on.

It's very rare that only a single core is ever in use these days.
