    Hello all,

Initially had my 980m GPU die on me, so installed an old 770m to test if board was intact. Got into the BIOS, and in about 25 seconds the display went dark.

Now it just powers on with no display, power led blinks orange with fans running at max before it powers down. I have swapped out CPU, RAM and another 770m (i have 2) and at this stage I believe motherboard is dead, and hopefully not killed off by the 770m.

I have the option of getting a P750dm3-G board for decent cost, but unsure if the chassis will take it without issue, or if i can reuse the 4k screen and 770m without a problem. I think I will have to modify the chassis slightly, but i will be able to go full 1080m with this board should i go through with it.

Does anyone have experience with this replacement/upgrade path?

Just an update, previous board died as well. Replaced board and all is good. Now wondering of there is any way to remove the Style Note boot logo, but that is another thread I suspect.

You would need to edit the BIOS.
