    Hello guys,

I'm trying to lay my hands on the Clevo P751DM2-G's 330W power adapter as what I have at the moment is the stock 230W adapter powering an i7 7700k+GTX 1070 combo. This feels like the source of the problems I've been having with the power adapter going off at very high and sustained load on both the CPU+GPU, as documented on this review.

If anyone knows a place I can by this adapter from, please drop a reply.

I've tried following up with both Eurocom and Origin PC and its' not borne much fruit.

Edit: My order with Eurocom just went through. Whoo!

After I received my 330W power adapter (Thanks Eurocom), I did re-run some benchmarks and testing confirms that this is the appropriate PSU.

    See this:

    1. Initial result: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/5587729

    2. Follow up: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/5952654

The follow up is with the new 330W PSU.

And yes, 3DMark is seeing some substantial gains.

Sky Diver went up by 2000 points
    With the 230W brick https://www.3dmark.com/sd/4861157
And with the 330W brick: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/23514783

    Kind regards,

Hello, I have similar problem. My laptop is p750dm2-g. Where can I buy a 330w adapter and simultaneously trade in my 230w? I am concerned about the price, cause I do not want to just give more than 230 dollars for a new adapter. I live in Ottawa.

Order straight from Eurocom's upgrade page for the notebook here.

On the drop down menu, select the AC adapter (Extra) + Power Cord (for your region) and check out.

In your case, you'll get 0% tax, so you're good to go.

I mean if it is possible to sell my almost new 230w adapter to Eurocom?
I have considered your variant already.

No, there is still 13% of tax of Ontario at checkout, why is it going to disappear?

    Oh ****, my bad.

I wish Eurocom or another supplier would be willing to trade in stuff such as power adapters.

Now, even if we get new adapters, we'll always have unused 230W bricks around.

Try to sell your 230W AC Adapter on forums - they are always people looking for 2nd AC Adapter. Your 230W is good for both Clevo and some of MSI laptops.

We would have to verify the safety of any parts that came back in, especially power adaptors, there would be nothing to be made from them.

By the way, how much is the 330w more heavy (in kg) in comparison to 230w one? I can't find this information anywhere.

There is about 400 grams in it IIRC.

    It's 1.3KG for the 330W bricks.

Well, will a change to a 330w help me to increase frequency of my 6700k from 3.9-4Ghz to 4.4Ghz under combined load with gpu, as when my gpu gtx 1070 is idle, the processor works ok, but under load I get "throttling" and the reason in "Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility" is "Current Limit throttling", even though the temps of the CPU are around 50-60 degrees. Is it a power adapter or a bios problem?

No, the system is not aware of the adapter in that fashion.

    Hey there,

I got my power adapter today.

The 330W power adapter weighs about 1.8KG.

    It weighs exactly 1.8 KG.
