Hello there,
My issue is identical to this: https://superuser.com/questions/131...l-restarts-before-the-graphics-card-powers-up
The OP in that thread points to a dead GPU (a GTX 1070) identical to what I have on my laptop.
Is this a known/common issue on this laptop? Is it worth the hassle replacing the GPU on this machine?
@Donald@HIDevolution @Meaker@Sager how much would such a replacement GPU (the 1070) cost?
Would it also require modded drivers to work?
This sudden death also presents an opportunity to perhaps upgrade to a newer build, perhaps a P775TM-R from HIDEvolution. If swapping in a new GPU isn't a feasible option, I'll just bite the bullet and upgrade.

Feel free to contact support for pricing or see the members market or Ebay for 2nd hand options. It can make sense if the GPU is gone to replace it yes.

That's a retraining boot where it is re-training the ram from the sounds of things.
Memory speed settings and overclocking can cause this. A bad CMOS battery could also.DaMafiaGamer likes this. -
Perhaps replacing the RAM with a kit running at 2400 or 2667 MHz would fix this.
I also recall that my system in particular could not OC the 7700k at all. Probably related.
I'll replace the memory kit on it and definitely retest. Perhaps the GPU on it is still fine.
At the moment. that laptop is in storage. Time to revive you, old friend. -

Could be a weak stick of ram too.
