Hello to everyone,
I have a Clevo P771DM with thunderbolt 3. I try to connect a Akitio Box PCI thunder3, the PC produces the classic sound when a device is connected, but the Box not work. No led status and the fan is stopped.
Do you have any ideas?
Thank you
Regards

What do you have inside the PCIe box ?
And have to installed/updated your thunderbolt drivers and firmware. -
Inside there is a Blackmagic Decklink Extreme. I updated the thunderbolt drivers, while I have not found thunderbolt firmware update file. Could you help me?
Thank you -
You will need to contact your reseller for that.
-
Ok I will do it. The problem could be the firmware?
Thank tou -
Probably. On my DM1 it needed an update.
-
Ok thank you. I will let you know something.
-
Sure thing. There was a thread here a while back with some of the update firmwares. But they are very reseller specific, specially in Europe.
-
Ok, tomorrow morning I will sent an email to my reseller and I hope to solve the problem.

This is the thread about TB firmware updates
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/clevo-p750dm-p770dm-thunderbolt-firmware-update-v16.792729/
It either works or it doesn't, so you can't accidentally flash the wrong one as it checks your system to see if it's compatible first.
The firmware worked on my P771DM1-G, but not on my colleagues as his was to old for this firmware -
So you suggest me to upgrade the firmware using the link above. The program check if my system is compatible avoiding any problems, is it right?Last edited: Jan 17, 2017

Yep, try the one in the link, it won't flash if it's not compatible, and you need the newer TB 3 firmware otherwise TB 3 devices won't work
-
Ok thank you. I tried to install Clevo Control Center but I do not find it in my programs list....
-
It doesn't show up in your programs list. It should install and then run at Windows startup
-
How I can see if it is installed properly?
Thank you -
You should get an Icon down by the clock for the control center
-
There is not the icon :-(
-
Did you look in 'Programs & Features' to see if the 'Control centre' is installed? If it doesn't show in there then it's not installed

What about in the apps section? (In System settings/Apps & features.) -
Are you sure you updated the firmware? I'm pretty sure you should have information in the bottom section of the 'Details' window, like the one shown in the second post of the firmware thread. If you don't have the information in the bottom then that tends to mean it hasn't been updated
-
-
But you have information missing. If you look at the second post on the update thread you can see how it's supposed to look after the update.
-
Yes you are right, but during the updated I received these this message:
"Firmware was updated successfully"
What can i do?
Thank you -
Try turning the laptop off, unplug from the mains & remove the battery for a few minutes.
Also what TB driver software do you have installed? -
Do you get any errors initially when you run the firmware setup?
-
Finally after countless attempts, I solved the problem updating the Bios to the last version. Now the Box work perfectly. Thanks all for everything

Hello community
I read both threads regarding the thunderbolt firmware update, i have a clevo p771dmg, but the downloads are gone from clevo website and i don´t know what to choose, I have BIOS version 1.05.09, my thunderbolt appears like this https://www.dropbox.com/s/v53mcxr7nctf2b6/1.png?dl=0 and i cant know if can have the Akitio Node that i want to buy....
Another thing that i noticed, is that my BIOS says that my notebook is P755dmg, but i´m pretty sure it´s the P771dmg
I´m looking for somebody with a P771DM-G with the necessary files for me to update, is there anyone please?
Thank you in advanceLast edited: May 5, 2017
