My first post here so gday to all.
I have question, since i want to buy new Clevo laptop in 1Q 2019 but very important for me is Idle noise -i have P670RS-G with 1060 and 6700HQ and im not always playing games its just great to have MSHybrid on board .

This time around i want something with 1070/1080 and i7 8750h/i7 8700k ( or combination) and i wonder since K models are desktop replacements and AFiK doesnt have MSHybrid how much noise they can produce and if possible to set them up in way that fans just spins very slightly (my current one in MSHybrid mode is just whisper quiet 36-40C -170mV uv /web browsing)

If anyone have some experiences that could be nice to hear from you guys, thank you :)

If you plan on purchasing on 1Q 2019, then wait with your decision, soon the new intel CPUs and graphicscards are coming out which will change everythinng, no point asking now which one to get.

Of what kind of change we talking about, new architecture, faster cpus(%) ,cooler cpus(%)???
I may look into it but tbh im not to keen to be "early adopter" of new technology im fine with current gen performance on top of that i could get current one for discount price when new comes out so i still woudlike to know answer for my question if someone could provide it for me.
    Tnx for replay tho.

We don't know for sure. I would wait for it honestly.

Also if you want something that stays cool but is also quiet without 3rd party fan control software then other notebooks are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar superior.

The thing is im on the budget and i cant afford to buy MSI tytan with 1080 or some Asus but which do you think would be cooler and quieter?
I had previously Predator with 970m and i was very happy how cool and quiet it was but Predator with 1080 and 8750h is way to much for me for now and i doubt it will change anytime soon.

the GT 75 is possibly the coolest notebook and the only ntoebook that runs the 8750H at full speed. All other notebooks throttle the CPU down to low 3ghzish due to TDP limit.

You get a mechanical keyboard, proper cooling, proper fan control, best speakers on any notebook period, ESSSabre Audio DAC for best headset sound, the fastest gaming panel 120hz @ 3ms also:

2399$ for 8750H + GTX 1070 setup is not that expensive really.

    http://www.hidevolution.com/msi-gt75-titan-056.html
    8750H + GTX 1080 is only at around 2799$

Considering the release of the 9th gen and GTX11xx the prices will get even lower. Honestly, even tho clevos are cheaper, I would consider the MSI to be the better deal, simply because it is so much more superior to the Clevos where the whole package is so much sweeter, it gives the user a much better experience, unlike most users, I am constantly exposed to different brands and models, I can have an objective opinion of notebooks and am not biased towards any brand, I am simply interested in the best deal and package as a whole.

It is significantly larger and more expensive. Our desktop CPU machines fit that niche.

I was lurking on those but price (is good for what they offer!) but is way to much for me and I can only choose from EU resellers .
I was even checking MSI at local shop at one point but they are huge and if I have place to have laptop like that I would build desktop , that's why I'm considering only Clevo, I dint have any of p77 on hand and can't compare tho....
And I'm not going to buy tomorrow my plan is to buy inQ1 2019 :)
@Meaker@Sager I really woudlike to know answer for my question, how both laptops compare to eachother when in idle, as I said my p670 is whisper quiet when in MShybrid.
Is that possible to achieve with P775's?
    Thank you.

Yes it's very quiet at idle, it has Optimus so the GPU shuts off.

No desktop CPU systems use Optimus.

For what it is the MSI GT* units with unlocked cpus are def best of the best if your into BGA play things. If your an enthusiast who prefers performance above everything else you go LGA clevo. That's not an opinion or bias, its fact.
