    Basic Info
    Clevo P775TM1-G from Eluktronics
GTX 1080 using driver 417.49 from Clevo
    8700K
    120Hz 1440p G-Sync Matte Panel
    Windows 10 Pro

    The previous problem:
After updating drivers my laptop would boot, possibly show the bios logo, then turn the screen off. Usually after restarting enough it would start working. After a while it got so bad that getting it to boot correctly could take half an hour. But I could boot into safe mode. After doing some digging I learned this was a driver issue and that you have to use drivers specifically for Clevos. If anyone reading this has this problem. I would recommend using an external monitor to do this. Turn off your laptop 3 times while it's booting up. Then in the recovery menu, boot into safe mode with networking. Download Display Driver Uninstaller and your driver from Clevo. Run DDU and don't shutdown. Then open the start menu, and shift-click on restart. Boot back into safe mode and install the driver from Clevo.

    The new problem:
After reverting to Clevo drivers my laptop now turns on and Windows boots normally the first time. But now the internal screen is no longer working properly. The backlight is on but the screen is black. It will boot fine but I can only get a picture when using external monitors. There was one occasion where I did get a picture after I unplugged the monitors but this hasn't happened since. The bios logo also appears the laptop screen occasionally when booting. Other than this, everything seems to be working fine.

The monitor is detected by Windows and shows up as Generic Non-PnP Monitor. I can extend the desktop to it and I have the choice between 1024x768 and 800x600. Trying to add a custom resolution through Nvidia Control Panel does nothing. I have tried Drivers 417.88, 417.49, and some other version I can't find from Clevo and the driver from Eluktronics which Is 387.92. All of them have the same issue.

I can provide other information if neccessary.

There is no bios that can be downloaded from Clevo for this laptop. There isn't anything in the download page with that version number either.

Thank you. I'll try that when I get the chance. If anyone else knows something I can try, I'm open to suggestions.

The standard nvidia drivers should work. Have you spoken to your reseller?
