Hello everyone.
I recently got my Schenker XMG U507(clevo p751dm2-g) with the 6700K and a GTX 1070.
I had some temperature issues when it comes to the CPU, but found a thread on this forum that solved them by putting an undervolt of -150mV to the CPU.
On my laptop there is a software pre-installed, where you can adjust these cpu setting, but I decided to install XTU because I saw that it is more advanced than the factory tool.
The only thing I changed in XTU is the core voltage offset to -157mV (currently) and somehow the System is adjusting the "Turbo boost power max" value automatically.
If I restart the system it is automatically set to 53.XXXW. Due to this, the cpu gets clocked to 3100Mhz when stress testing.
I have to manually set this value to 95W again, every time I restart the system.
I checked the Bios and the P1/P2 settings are disabled there.
Shall I try to just set this value hard to 95w from bios?
Thanks in advance.

Could I ask what are your fan settings and temps when running at 4Ghz after the undervolt? Also which screen are you using? (sorry I'm just really interested in this machine)
Regarding your problem I don't know much but I have heard that the stock Clevo Bios is very faulty. I don't know if it's possible by any means but maybe it will help if you get the Prema BIOS - it's a modified BIOS created for CLEVO machines that solves many problems and enables maximum performance. I just don't know if it's possible to get it after you buy a machine.
Hope you solve the issue! Could I PM you for some questions regarding this laptop? :3 -
For Gaming I mostly use the "custom" fan setting, starting fans at 65 and stopping them by 50. Max Fan on 80%. I now have a undervolt at -157mV. The VID at load is about 1.16 - 1.2V. The Temperature at Battlefield 1 with ULTRA Preset and Full HD + VSync enabled (60FPS) is 65-79C for the CPU(at around 55-80% load) and 70-80Cfor the GPU.
Without the Undervolt and fan settings at "auto", I reached 100C CPU Temp in Battlefield after about 15mins of gameplay. It reached so far, that I had thermal throttle and bluescreen.
The undervolt saved me around 15-20C for the CPU, which is great!
Right now idleing at 4184.63Mhz (99.63x42) at 1.1570VID and 32C CPU with fan settings set to "auto"
No problem, just PM me.Last edited: Dec 11, 2016 -
Found something out:
I removed XTU and "Hotkey"(CC) and made shure, that the XTU service is killed and all files are gone.
After I reset the BIOS back to the defaults, the Power Limit is back at 95W.
I enabned the overclocking options in the bios, but I cannot change the "core voltage offset" to a negative value in the bios...
Does anybody have an advice.. -

If you look at the tooltip next to the voltage offset on the right, it says you can set a value from -500mV to +500mV, but if you type a minus sign, it doesn't register......
Even if you do it through CCC and set it to a negative value, if you check in the BIOS it shows as a positive value
In the Prema BIOS, you cannot type a negative value in the field as well but underneath it, there is a + or - sign you can select from. I think Clevo just forgot that part -
But for me now, the problem stays, that as soon as I undervolt in CCC and restart the system, the CCC changes the Power Limit 1 / 2 to (random?) low values. After the restart now, the values have been set to
PL1: 29.3W
PL2: 53.125W
Are the Power Limits at the same value for you, if you restart the system ?
Its annoying to change them everytime as soon as I restart..

Reset BIOS to defaults......
Downloads the latest Throttle Stop and set your options like this.....
TPL are the power limits, maximize them like me, it won't hurt, the system will only draw the power it needs
But change the multipliers and voltage offset to what suits your CPU. The power limits and turbo power limits shouled be maxed out
@Mr. Fox , please suggest anything that you would change in these settings if any
How to create an automated task to have ThrottleStop run automatically upon startup -
Thank you very much ! I reset the bios to factory defaults and disabled XTU in the Services in Windows.
I Pretty much just changed the voltage offset and TPL limit and kept defaults on the other values.
Working perfectly.
But there is still the question why the CCC/ XTU change the PL1 and PL2 limit to such low values... Is it because I have the 230W PSU ? Maybe @Meaker@Sager knows why ?

Try matching the power limits in the BIOS to the software.

Then how does the system react? Does it use a low TDP?

Then as soon as the pc gets restartet they get changed to PL1:53.xxxW PL2: 66.xxxW.
Removing CCC and Xtu service fixes the problem. But I still need to undervolt because the system runs at 1.32-1.35V from factory, which is nearly an instant Temp throttle + power throttle.

Example, I used to run 4.4 GHz with a -80mV offset for CPU/Cache and it was super stable on my previous CPU which wasn't a Silicon Lottery one. -

My reseller "Schenker(XMG)" send me a new BIOS version yesterday (1.06.02) which is a preperation for Kaby Lake, which should fix the negative voltage offset problem etc.
I'll keep you updated if it works -
Some new informations? Meanwhile i own a XMG U717 (6700K and GTX1080) using KBL Bios 1.06.04 and KBC/EC Firmware Revision 1.06.02 and can´t change the Voltage Offset to minus. Tooltip says +500 to -500, but it doesn´t works, only 0-1000.

You have to use intel XTU to set a negative offset at the moment.

Thanks for information. Is here in the forum a testet and validatet .xtu Profile for download? (e.g. -100 - -150mV). I remember there was, but i dont know where...

I had a P775DM3 with a 6700K that couldn't take even a -50 mV without instability. Most folks with the same processor could easily get double or triple that.

Hm at the moment i don´t have much time for large testing, but your words are right, thanks. I have a P775DM3 too with the same CPU.
