Hey guys, so I have been experiencing strange cpu throttle and I'm pretty sure it's not because of temperature, but motherboard power draw limit. pc specs are gtx1060, i7-7820hk unlocked cpu. So I've made couple of test:
    1. running gpu-z stress test and a game doesn't throttle cpu to base clock 2.9 and it stays 3.6 gpu-z_stresstest.png
    2. running gpu-z stress test and cpu stress test makes cpu frequency bounce between 2.9 to 3.6
    3. running cpu stress frequency stays the same at 3.6
    cpu_stresstest.png
    4. running a game with maximum 75w gpu power draw cpu stays all the time at 2.9 speed

    5. running a game with a custom gpu curve through msi afterburner locking voltage at 0.7v thus limiting gpu power draw at maximum ~60w cpu stays at 3.6 frequency all the time.

Seems like a motherboard draw power issue? But if it is, why can I still run gpu-z stress test and have my desired cpu clock without dropping to base clock but can't do the same in games? All this causes micro freezes and makes playing kinda unplayable when the frequency bounces from 3.6 to 2.9 Would really appreciate the help, I'm kinda lost what to do.

Games load the whole system rather than just a part. Also turbo has time based limits on it.

so it's some kind of power draw throttle? any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Find a balance to give the best performance overall between the CPU and gpu.

Are you already running latest BIOS and EC?
    What is your charger wattage?

Did you try undervolting your CPU?
Or at least tweaking the PL1/2 limits and Icc Max values using ThrottleStop?

yeah, latest bios and ec. 180w charger. cpu is -100mv. changing powerlimits and iccmax did nothing as you can see cpu drops to base clock even at 20w package.

And what about disabling the BD PROCHOT signal in TS?

doesn't do anything. neither does disablinb c1e and speedstep.

For a thin and light it's about the balance.

CPU throttling under combined CPU+GPU load is a firmware issue.

Are you using the highest performance profile in Windows and Clevo Control Center?

If it's the inbuilt power limit if the machine then only modifying the code would take you further.
