    Hi !

    It seems that clevo sells p955et1 to european market with 120hz display only.

    Model is "N156HHE-GA1" (i inquired pcspecialist about their "defiance xs pro" ( https://www.pcspecialist.it/notebook/defianceXS-pro-15/)
    and they were able to tell me the specific model).

    All other european resellers i've contacted only sell p955et1 with 94% ntsc display (which fits "N156HHE-GA1" specs)

    Now i see that eurocom is selling "q6" ( http://www.eurocom.com/ec/upgradepricelist(3,449)EurocomQ6) with the following displays:

    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 60Hz; Matte; IPS; 700:1; NTSC 72%; 30pin; LG LP156WF6-SPP2
    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 120Hz; Matte; TN; 300:1; 300 cd/m2; NTSC 94%; eDP 30pin; N156HHE-GA1 C3
    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 144Hz; Matte; IPS; NTSC 72%; 300 cd/m2; eDP; 40pin; LG LP156WFG-SPF2

    It's clevo p955er but same exact chassis of p955et1.

    But now i've found a reseller that would be able to switch stock 120hz display with 144hz AUO B156HAN07.0

    Looking at panelook.com i see these info:

    N156HHE-GA1----->TN 120hz--->eDP (2 Lanes) , 30 pins , Connector
    http://www.panelook.com/N156HHE-GA1_Innolux_15.6_LCM_parameter_33306.html

    Mechanical Size :
    Display Area: 344.16×193.59 mm (H×V)
    Outline Dim.: -
    Outline Dim.: 359.5×206.5 mm (H×V)
    Outline Depth: 3.2 (Max.) mm
    .....................................................................................................................................................

    AUO B156HAN07.0----->AUO70ED--->AHVA--->eDP (4 Lanes) , Connector , 40 pins
    http://www.panelook.com/B156HAN07.0_AUO_15.6_LCM_parameter_35106.html

    Mechanical Size :
    Active Area(mm): 344.16(H) × 193.59(V)
    Bezel Area(mm): -
    Outline Dim.(mm): 359.5(H) × 233.8(V)
    Depth(mm): 3.2 (Max.)
    .....................................................................................................................................................:

    LG LP156WFG-SPF2----->LGD05C0--->IPS--->40 pins eDP (4 Lanes) , Connector
    http://www.panelook.com/LP156WFG-SPF2_LG Display_15.6_LCM_parameter_36617.html

    Mechanical Size :
    Display Area: 344.16×193.59 mm (H×V)
    Outline Dim.: -
    Outline Dim.: 350.66×216.26 mm (H×V)
    Outline Depth: 2.6 (Max.) mm

    So do you think " AUO B156HAN07.0" would fit inside p955 chassis as well ?

    Thinner displays usually have different mounts.

    Eurocom sells "q6" (clevo p955er) with these displays:

    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 60Hz; Matte; IPS; 700:1; NTSC 72%; 30pin; LG LP156WF6-SPP2
    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 120Hz; Matte; TN; 300:1; 300 cd/m2; NTSC 94%; eDP 30pin; N156HHE-GA1 C3
    15.6-inch (39.6cm); FHD 1920x1080; 144Hz; Matte; IPS; NTSC 72%; 300 cd/m2; eDP; 40pin; LG LP156WFG-SPF2

    P955et1 in europe has 120hz display only ( N156HHE-GA1).

    Question is:

    Does the same exact motherboard accept both edp 30pin and edp 40pin displays ?
    If yes, the only difference is video cable from connector onto the display to the socket on the motherboard ?

    Or for example we have a p955er version with a specific motherboard (let's call it MB 1) that only works with edp 30pin displays (like N156HHE-GA1) and another p955er version with a different motherboard (let's call it MB 2) that only works with edp 40pin displays (like LG LP156WFG-SPF2 or AUO B156HAN07.0) ?

    I see that" sager" sells p955et1 too (it's NP2950)
    It has a "15.6" Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS Matte, 72% NTSC"

    Just to know, what panel model do you have on this laptop ?

    All motherboards will have the same connector and drivers so will accept either cable if available.

    On mysn.de "XMG ULTRA 15" (clevo p751tm) it's reported the following:

    Metabox (australian reseller) told me they use as 144hz display for their p955et1 this one: AUO B156HAN07.0

    So same display on two different clevo models (p751tm has "Intel Z370 Chipset" while p955et1 has "Intel HM370 Chipset")

    So the only difference is the video cable that connects panel to mb ?

    Let's say this is the N156HHE-GA1 cable for p955et1:

    H---------------------------------------------A

    H is connected to hm370 motherboard
    A is the 30 pins "male" connector that is connected to the display itself.

    So you're saying that AUO B156HAN07.0 cable for p955et1 must be something like this:

    H---------------------------------------------B

    H is connected to hm370 motherboard
    B is the 40 pins "male" connector that is connected to the display itself.

    because AUO B156HAN07.0 cable for p751tm is NOT compatible for p955et1 since it has a different "H" (let's call it "Z") connector that goes to z370 motherboard ?

    Z---------------------------------------------B

    Z is connected to z370 motherboard
    B is the 40 pins "male" connector that is connected to the display itself.

    I thought you meant you found the same system listed? What I said was true for all resellers of the same chassis.

    For there to be a 40 pin cable option the machine must be sold somewhere with a 40 pin display.

    What i've found out so far is that same exact AUO B156HAN07.0 display is used by metabox on its own p955et1 and by xmg on its own "ULTRA 15" (p751tm).

    At this point i thought that even if this panel fits into p955et1 (after removing stock 120hz display) it must be somehow connected to the mb.
    But for the purpose we CANNOT simply use same video cable used to connect AUO B156HAN07.0 to "ultra 15" motherboard since it has a different end-point.

    that's why i wrote this:

    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    AUO B156HAN07.0 "REAL" cable for p751tm must be something like this:

    Z---------------------------------------------B (let's call it "CABLE Z-B")

    Z is connected to z370 motherboard
    B is the 40 pins "male" connector that is connected to the display itself.
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    while AUO B156HAN07.0 "PROBABLE" cable for p955et1 should be something like this:

    H---------------------------------------------B (let's call it "CABLE H-B")

    H is connected to hm370 motherboard
    B is the 40 pins "male" connector that is connected to the display itself.
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

    My understanding is that different motherboards have different display socket (in terms of form factor).

    So to make AUO B156HAN07.0 work on p955et1, i cannot use "CABLE Z-B" because p955et1 motherboard accepts "CABLE H-B" only.

    So point is finding this damn "CABLE H-B" (does even exist ?) to make AUO B156HAN07.0 work on p955et1.

    Did i get it right ?
    Or am i completely wrong about it (so please forgive me for any nonsense i've written) ?

    We dont sell this exact model but you could ask the reseller who stocks the machine with the panel you are looking for, for the cable part number.

    Hi !

    On this website: https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P95xETx/

    i've found p955et1/et3 official clevo service manual.

    On page 49/126 all certified working panels on p955et1/et3 are reported:

    while these are the vga cable used:
    ---What cable is required to connect LG LP156WFG-SPF2 to the motherboard since it's a eDP 40pin display ?
    6-43-P9501-020-1N or 6-43-P9551-010-N ?
    It looks like the only difference is length, but actually i have no idea which one fits.

    Moreover, according to clevo service manual, it seems that all these further items are required to install the 144hz lg panel (code is 6-50-LBB26-L120):

    ---What does "(PRE-PROCESS)" mean ?
    Does that back cover module refer to the whole cover or only to a part of it ?
    Is this due to the fact that 144hz lg display is slimmer (2.6mm) then all the others (3.2mm) ?

    I hope you can help me !

    Well the LCD listing did state the other panel was a different thickness so the above suggests they are using a different back cover and rubber mounts to get it to sit properly.

    So it looks like P955ET1 (Sager NP2950) has two different back covers.

    The specific back cover needed to fit " LG LP156WFG-SPF2" is
    (according to clevo service manual https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P95xETx/)
    the same used on P955ER with the same 144hz display.

    Could you please help me how to properly insert these two:

    20-LCD RUBBER(9*3*3T) SILICONE N957TP6-------------------->6-47-N9571-060 (only for 6-50-LBB26-L120)

    22-LCD RUBBER(9*6.5*3T) SILICONE N957TP6-------------------->6-47-N9571-070 (only for 6-50-LBB26-L120)

    Looking at the service manual pdf (page 49) i don't really understand the exact location where
    these rubber things are supposed to be.
