Since day one I have Wifi problems with this beast of a laptop.
All basic steps are already taken (router, channels etc etc).
I know there are a lot of people with the same problems in combination with this wifi card.
A few months later
I still have Wifi drops on my Clevo PA-71ES.
I have the Killer(R) Wireless-AC 1550 Wireless Network Adapter (9260NGW)
I have the same problem on all networks (2.4 and 5) different routers.
Mostly it's a drop for a few seconds, but almost everytime it doesn;t auto connect to Wifi whem comming out of sleep and I have to connect manualy. Sometimes (1 out of 10) it does reconnect.
For which card should I replace it to get stable wifi again?

You can try the Intel 9260 card if you like. Have you checked the antennae are seated correctly on the lid?

It isn't a signal strentgh problem... Just a driver/compability issue. It's a known issue on this board with this chip. To bad they are still sold like this.
Just want to know wich card to replace.
Not there is already an 1550 / 9260NGW installed so will the 9260 like you mention solve the problem? Seems like the same card...?
In device manager it's stated as follow:
Killer(R) Wireless-AC 1550 Wireless Network Adapter (9260NGW) -
Well, first off an Intel 9260 would use Intel drivers, vs Killer ones.

I don't understand what you mean...
So you mean I have to buy a 9260 without killer? -

They're saying if you replace the Killer card with the Intel one, you have to remove the Killer software/driver and install the Intel driver. They don't operate on the same software.
Where did you hear/read that the PA models and the 1550 card combo have a known issue? -
It's very likely some left-over driver confusion. The Killer 1550 is technically an Intel chip at it's core but with a bunch of tweaks and ID changes.
For reference, the Killer 1550 operates with the iwlwifi (Intel) driver under linux but it has been patched to work with the different Vendor ID.Prostar Computer likes this. -

For now tried: Intel driver, Killer driver, advised driver from Obsidian updater, all the same issue.
Realy annoying. -

What about the drivers direct from the vendor/developer, instead of going through the Obsidian tool?

If not that, fair chance you're right to swap it out. The 9260 is a nice alternative. -

As said above I already tried that mate...
Also tried the driver from Clevo.
Stupid thing is that all drivers act the same. Even on fresh Windows install (no matter if it's home, prof etc). -

If you are still having issues with your Killer Wi-Fi adapter, try clean installing to the latest version of the Killer Control Center by following this guide - https://www.killernetworking.com/ki...q/105-clean-install-the-killer-control-center.
If that doesn't resolve the issue for you, please reach out to us directly by filling out the form here - https://www.killernetworking.com/killersupport/contact - which will also allow you to submit a diagnostic.
Regarding the difference between the Killer 1550 and the Intel 9260, there is no difference that should impact wireless reliability unless your wireless access point is having trouble with the packet tagging used by the Killer Control Center. If you would like to try a driver-only install, you can do so by substituting our driver-only package, found here - https://www.killernetworking.com/killersupport/item/killer-drivers-64bit - for the Killer Control Center installer in the clean install guide. Using the driver-only package, there is no difference between the 1550 and 9260 except the name. They use the same device driver.
