Hi, please help me, this laptop give me an headache. It suffer power limit throttling for both cpu and gpu. My spec
i7 9750H, 2070rtx
default setting:
- core voltage offset = -0.050
- pl1 = 78W
- pl2 = 45W
ive tried all below:
- undervolt to -0.120
- disable turbo
- disable power limit
- increase turbo power limit to 90W
- reduce turbo speed to 3.0Ghz
but i still encounter power throttling when playing games. i tried aida64 for about a minutes. it suffer power and current throttling. after i increase turbo power limit to 90W and 60W, no throttling.
when in games, whatever i do, i cant seem to solve it.
- temperature is not throttling cus when i disable turbo, cpu run @ 2.6Ghz and temp around 70Degree+ but power throttling keep showing up.

Have you modified your GPU clock/voltage curve in MSI afterburner? What kind of throttle are you seeing? Have you got charts of it happening?

So what sort of throttle are you seeing?

i forgot to check gpu core clock. btw, the throttle is random.
i also running hwinfo and obsidian fan ctlr in the background. changing fan profile from normal to ec default doesnt seem to differ -

You need to check out what is actually happening before you can diagnose an issue.
