    Hey guys,

I am buying a Clevo M760T barebone, which is according to Clevo's Product Info supports T9400/T9600, P9500, P8400/P8600 Intel Core 2 Duo processors, all with Socket P.

    The Question is:

Will that barebone laptop support other mobile processors with Socket P, like: P7350, T5750, T5800 or T3200. Or it supports only those processors which are listed at product info page only.

I tried to google for 2 hours but cound not get a definite answer for that.

Also, I would be grateful if you could recomend some good and cheap shop in UK.

That you in adance for any help :)

    Roman

Do not take my advice as fact, but in my experience, you should be able to use any CPU that matches the socket, chipset, FSB, and cores. The barebones you are looking at is the Centrino 2 (PM45) chipset, while the CPUs you listed were designed for the Centrio 965 chipset.

Off topic : Noticed in your sig. emike that you are using the Zalman NC-2000 Notebook cooler. Whats your opinion of it , as I have had my eye on this model and am ready to purchase .

    Thanks !

It should support any of the processors you listed fine. What it won't support: quad-core socket P processors.

    Sorry to hijack the thread
It's very good I have it under my xps, It's very quiet on low and not too loud on high. It does a perfect job to cool the ram and hhd and knock few deg off the gpu.
