    Hi there,
Upgrading the internals is a great feature of course, but i was wondering if there's any sager laptops with expresscards so you can use an external GPU also?

    Hi

At the moment, the simple answer is no. There has been a lot of speculation on various Skylake owners threads about this but the support does not exist.

Quick note on nomenclature (to be helpful) - best to ask about Clevo chassis support, because Sager laptops use Clevo chassis in the same way that XMG laptops do - so Clevo covers us all, Sager only covers Sager branded models :)

Yup, it's a bit missleading - Sager is the best known Clevo chassis integrator in the US, they also have lots of companies which reseller Sager branded chassis. I think because this started as a mainly US member based forum Sager is in the title.

Mainly US but, definitely, an international forum. The subject; notebooks, the language; English, the brand(ODM); Clevo are all international. We have a shared interest. I think we are going to see some more info on other reseller models in some form or fashion.

Intel are pushing eGPU as a viable function of Thunderbolt3. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before we start seeing official/licensed eGPU enclosures after Skylake has been around long enough.

The P750/770DM machines already have a USB3.1/TB3 combo port on them. AFAIK nobody has actually attempted an eGPU setup on them though since the actual TB3 eGPU enclosures haven't been developed yet.
