How good it the build quality of of the Sager NP9262 (flex, scratches, etc). Despite the reviews I am still in doubt. While I have heard many good thing about Clevo, I have also heard many bad things. And the NP9262 looks very plasticky. It doesn't appear to be constructed professionally (is that just the Clevo look?). But that is just my opinion. I would like to here from actual 9262 owners, how is the build quality compared to dell, apple (which has excellent build IMO), etc?

It is solid, rough and with minimal flex.
The D901C is the mothertank of all laptops.

It is the Clevo look, but don`t be fooled, the thing can withstand a lot, and it`s also very robust.
Better build quality than the dells, apples.
Sure, it`s No Lenovo, but it is the BEST laptop in the world in terms of performance.

the build quality of dell from my experience is crap.

the e1705 plasticky crap and m1710. fading palmrests scratched all over flexy garbage.

In terms of case construction, is the 9262 pretty sound. Do the piece of metal/plastic around the ports break off? What quality are the buttons, and what is the main material used in the case - metal or plastic?

While I have heard many good things about the case, what about the internal construction. Do the features in the Sager malfunction often (TV tuner, 3G, etc)? Most importantly, is the 9262 prone to problems because it uses a desktop processor. Is the processor "forced" (figuratively) into the notebook, or was the 9262 purposefully designed to take a desktop CPU?

every single review says that it's very well built no flex and sturdy.

Clevo is a well known brand among the people in the "Know" ya know?

I have had Clevo before and they are very well built. among the top laptops ever made.

you haven't read any reviews have you?

because every single review. and I sir, have indeed read all of the ones I could find.

they are all consistent. and say these things you can start repeating over and over in your head!

Great and sturdy build quality---no flex
Absoltutely No Heat Issues---Best Thermal Design EVER!

@ dexgo. I have read many review - not just on this site. However, I didn't know exactly what people meant when they said "good build". I wanted some specifics, I've got them and now I'm happy. BTW, I am very familiar with Clevo, I just have never owned one.

Clevo was the first company to design notebooks with desktop processors, and they have turned it into an art. There are no problems associated with using the desktop processor.

The NP9262 does not have a built-in 3G/EVDO card, but we have not seen any of the built-in components to be prone to breakdown thus far.

I have an older 8700 that was very sturdy. My 9262 is only a couple of months old, but it seems just as sturdy. And the performance is super.
