The NP5796 will begin shipping next week.

The NP8660 won't begin shipping until sometime in early August.

For the pics on 5796, its also showing the silver trim. Is that going to be an option for the first batch or not?

for the back pictures, shouldn't the old one have three fans vents and the new one with 2?

The NP5796 does have 3 while the NP5792 had 2...the captions are under the pictures.

Note the caption that says: "NP5796 Bottom w/extra VENT"

Not sure what you are confused about. There are three vents and 2 fans on both the NP5793 and the NP5796.

Previously there were only two vents on the NP5792 and back.

Anyone have any info on the NP7680 and the NP7220? From reading Gophn's post, it looks like both of these will have Montevina processors and Intel GMA X4500...is this correct?

hmmm... an early discussion on the new models indicated there would be 6 reasons to go with Sager/Clevo.... I see only 5, I am sure I am overlooking something obvious, but then again, maybe there is a super secret 6th laptop coming that is taking the place of the 9262 and will hearld a new era...the world's most "stylish" and fastest laptop. I am sorry you 9262 zealots... your baby may be the zippiest in the litter, but it is still homely and has big ears.

looking at the pics of the 8660 and noticed some things i have questions about.

just below the right alt and right windows button on the brushed metal it looks like theres an embossed arrow pointing toward the keys. what does it do? or am i seeing something?

also is that one of those tiny usb ports next to the audio/mic ports?

...and one more thing, is battery life part of the NDA? i figure since you have the test unit you would test that pretty quick.
